Job Summary
Providing remote acute care to patients in crisis, the full-time East Coast Licensed Psychiatrist will evaluate and treat individuals across various emergency settings during overnight shifts, collaborating with onsite professionals and utilizing evidence-based practices.
Key responsibilities
- Simultaneously serving multiple emergency rooms and psychiatric crisis programs to evaluate and treat patients in crisis
- Receiving support from a 24/7 access center to ensure successful patient treatment throughout shifts
- Directing and implementing psychotherapeutic treatments and prescribing medications for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
Required qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist with unrestricted, independent licensure
- Experience providing psychiatric care to all age groups, particularly in acute crisis settings
- Established and updated CAQH and FCVS profiles
- Advanced technical proficiency in telehealth, including use of EMR software and Microsoft applications
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds and provide culturally competent care
