Job Summary

Focusing on the intersection of AI technology and market dynamics, the full-time remote Economics Researcher will conduct foundational research to analyze the companion AI market, including market projections and adoption factors, to support policymakers and researchers in understanding future developments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop structured estimates of the incorporation of social engagement aspects into AI interfaces using various data sources
• Map economic, cultural, and regulatory factors influencing the spread and structure of the companion AI market
• Produce public-facing research outputs to inform policy conversations surrounding AI technologies

Required qualifications

• Interest or experience in AI technology, economics, tech market research, venture capital, or product strategy
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to generate credible estimates from incomplete data
• Experience in speculative forward-looking analysis and synthesizing diverse information
• Proficiency in written communication to convey complex ideas to non-specialist audiences
• Comfort with remote work and asynchronous collaboration using digital tools
