Job Summary

A company is looking for an Economist to conduct economic analyses for Bureau of Land Management rulemakings related to energy and minerals.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare economic analyses for proposed and final rules
Assess potential impacts on small entities under the Regulatory Flexibility Act
Analyze costs and benefits of proposed regulations following OMB Circular A-4 guidance

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Economics or related field (PhD preferred)
7+ years of professional experience evaluating economic benefits and costs of government regulations
Experience with regulatory impact analysis under E.O. 12866
Knowledge of OMB Circular A-4 requirements
Understanding of Regulatory Flexibility Act analysis
