Ed-Fi Implementation Consultant

Job Summary

Leading the implementation of Williamsburg Learning's Ed-Fi sync system, the Ed-Fi Implementation Consultant will work remotely as an independent contractor, providing technical direction, overseeing architecture, and liaising with state agencies to ensure compliance and certification.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of the Ed-Fi sync system, setting architecture and sequencing across rollout phases
• Guide the design of the state-agnostic Core Sync Service and validate resource-mapping coverage against Ed-Fi SIS v5 and state requirements
• Lead the AzEDS vendor certification effort and establish the roadmap for subsequent state certifications

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on Ed-Fi expertise with prior delivery of Ed-Fi ODS/API integrations and state-reporting systems
• Direct experience achieving state certification, particularly with AzEDS and/or Ed-Fi Alliance SIS certification
• Deep knowledge of Ed-Fi Data Standard resources, natural keys, and OAuth 2.0 client credentials
• Strong K-12/SIS domain knowledge, including students, enrollment, and attendance
• Technical leadership experience in PHP, MySQL, REST, and queue-based systems
