EDI Lead Engineer
Job Summary
EDI Lead Engineer, responsible for leading the modernization of a healthcare interoperability platform in a full-time role, focusing on the design, development, and delivery of EDI and FHIR integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for enterprise healthcare integration initiatives involving HIPAA X12 transactions, HL7, and FHIR APIs
- Design and implement scalable healthcare data exchange solutions and maintain robust data transformation workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and support production troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years of healthcare EDI experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA X12 transactions, HL7, and FHIR standards
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Go
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
