Edifecs Developer

Job Summary

To support mission-critical healthcare IT platforms for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the remote Edifecs Developer will evaluate business requirements and design, develop, and implement solutions using Edifecs tools and EDI standards while collaborating with internal teams to enhance data exchange operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business subject matter experts to gather and refine requirements, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with project objectives
• Configure Edifecs tools, including XEngine, to process EDI transactions, establishing business rules and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards
• Design and maintain EDI maps and guidelines using Edifecs SpecBuilder and MapBuilder for standard HIPAA-compliant transaction sets

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Edifecs tools and EDI standards, particularly in healthcare settings
• Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and trading partner specifications
• Experience in designing and maintaining EDI maps and profiles
• Ability to conduct unit and integration testing and coordinate with QA teams
• Experience in integrating Edifecs solutions with external applications and databases
