To enhance audience engagement with financial journalism, the full-time Editor, Content Engagement will manage real-time programming, optimize story presentation across platforms, and draft impactful alerts and headlines, while working a consistent weekend schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Program Yahoo Finance experiences with a focus on breaking news and personal finance content
• Utilize generative AI tools to create and optimize headlines and mobile alerts for audience engagement
• Collaborate with various teams to align programming decisions with editorial priorities and audience needs

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of editing experience in a media organization, particularly in digital media or newsroom programming
• Strong editorial judgment and experience making real-time decisions in a fast-paced news environment
• Familiarity with analytics tools like Chartbeat for monitoring content performance
• Experience in headline writing, content curation, and SEO practices
• Genuine interest in finance news and its impact on users and investors
