Editor for Gift Publishing

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Editor to join their editorial department remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to develop and manage gift products from inception to print
• Create and maintain copy schedules and initiate contracts for out-of-house writers
• Conduct market research and support proofreading and sensitivity reads for assigned projects

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of editorial experience in non-fiction or gift formats
• Proficiency in developmental and line editing, with a keen eye for nuance and tone
• Knowledge of gift markets and non-traditional publishing
• 4-year college degree in journalism, English, or a related field
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
