Job Summary

A company is looking for an Editor for Head Start Monitoring Reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Review draft monitoring reports for clarity, grammar, and compliance with OHS formatting standards
• Collaborate with Review Team Leads and Reviewer Consultants to clarify unclear findings and maintain editing checklists
• Track editing queues and coordinate with report delivery deadlines to ensure timely submission of final products

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; relevant work experience may substitute for a degree
• 3 years of professional editing and proofreading experience in a structured or compliance-focused environment; 7 years without a degree
• Experience editing formal reports, technical documents, or federally funded program materials preferred
• Prior work experience in education, child development, government oversight, or public policy is a plus
• Master's degree or professional editing certification (e.g., ACES, Poynter) desired
