Job Summary

Passionate about romance publishing, the full-time salaried Editor for Romance Publishing will acquire, edit, and manage both adult fiction and young adult authors while working remotely or in a hybrid capacity from specified states.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Editorial Director on long-range planning and list management for Bloom Books and Bloom YA
• Identify and solicit manuscripts for publication while analyzing marketplace needs and establishing project schedules
• Develop manuscripts for content and positioning, and work closely with marketing, publicity, and sales teams on related initiatives

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of publishing experience
• Proven self-starter with initiative and leadership skills in book and product development
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Flexibility to adapt to a non-traditional publishing approach
• Genuine passion for books and the publishing industry
