Editor in Chief

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Editor in Chief.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that the magazine achieves its stated purposes as described in the Synodical mandate
• Lead staff in planning content and make final decisions on accepting submitted manuscripts
• Write editorials, approve final copy and layout, and manage online presence to foster engagement

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Professing membership in a Christian Reformed congregation or a church in communion with the CRCNA
• In-depth knowledge of Scriptures and Reformed teachings
• Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies required
• Significant experience in writing, editing, publishing, or journalism, preferably in a Christian context
• Previous leadership or senior editorial roles preferred
