Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual, the full-time remote Editor-in-Chief, Education will leverage their expertise in educational research and strong global networks to strategically develop and enhance the visibility of one or more journals while overseeing the peer review process and ensuring best practices in publishing.

Key responsibilities

• Drive high-quality submissions to the Education portfolio through international networks and desk research
• Strategically develop journals within the Education portfolio, focusing on scientific and publishing perspectives
• Oversee editorial evaluation and decision-making for submitted manuscripts, collaborating with internal and external editorial colleagues

Required qualifications

• PhD degree in educational research with a strong understanding of recent trends in various educational contexts
• Experience in manuscript handling, including peer review and decision-making processes
• Demonstrated commissioning experience, including identifying topics and guiding authors through submission
• Strong global networks within research communities and excellent relationship-building skills
• Understanding of scientific publishing and a desire to advocate for innovations in publishing and open research
