Editor, Inspiration & Gift

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time contract Editor, Inspiration & Gift, this remote position will manage the development and delivery of illustrated nonfiction travel books and related gift products, overseeing projects from concept to publication while collaborating with various teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Edit and manage a list of illustrated nonfiction travel and gift titles from concept through publication
• Commission and manage contributors, ensuring projects meet quality standards and deadlines
• Research market trends to develop new book and product ideas, and support pitch materials preparation

Required qualifications:

• 4+ years of editorial experience in publishing or a closely related environment
• Experience working on illustrated nonfiction
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple titles and deadlines
• Knowledge of publishing workflows from concept to final files
• Experience commissioning and managing freelance contributors and external partners
