A company is looking for an Editor, Original Graphic Novels to join their Original Publishing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Japanese creators to develop original manga for the VIZ Originals team
• Oversee the editorial process for graphic novel production, ensuring quality and compliance with licensor requirements
• Scout and manage freelance translators, editors, and artists for project development

Required Qualifications and Education

• 2-3 years of experience in editorial services related to book publication, especially comics or graphic novels
• Professional fluency in Japanese and English, with strong interpretation skills
• Knowledge of the manga and anime creative space
• Bachelor's Degree in English, Creative Writing, Comparative Literature, or a related field
• Experience managing graphic novel illustrators and authors
