Job Summary

Passionate about romance, the full-time hourly Editorial Assistant - Romance will support the Adult Romance team by managing titles through the publishing process, coordinating projects across various departments, and conducting market research while working in a hybrid or remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with acquiring editors to manage romance titles throughout the publishing process
• Coordinate projects across editorial, design, production, marketing, and sales teams
• Research market trends and reader preferences to support editorial decisions

Required qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree
• 1-2 years of publishing experience preferred, including internships or freelance work
• Strong knowledge of book production processes from concept through publication
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively
• Deep passion for romance, including familiarity with current authors, trends, and reader communities
