Leading the enterprise narrative and editorial strategy, the full-time remote Editorial Director will shape athenahealth's storytelling, manage strategic messaging, and oversee editorial content across various channels while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Own and connect athenahealth's enterprise narrative and annual editorial agenda to business priorities and market dynamics
- Lead the strategic messaging function, translating the narrative arc into coherent messaging frameworks for various campaigns and communications
- Serve as editor-in-chief of athenahealth.com, guiding editorial direction and standards while managing the organic social editorial strategy
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, or brand strategy, with significant expertise in health tech or healthcare
- Proven ability to build an enterprise narrative and develop strategic messaging frameworks
- Experience using audience research and market intelligence to shape narrative strategy
