Education Policy Researcher

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Education Policy Researcher (PK-12 Finance) to support and lead applied research in education finance and funding policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop research designs to evaluate PK-12 education funding policies and assess the cost of equitable education
• Support policymakers in analyzing funding to improve low-performing schools and districts
• Prepare written materials and present findings to clients and professional associations

Required Qualifications

• A Ph.D./Ed.D. or a master's degree with 4-7 years of experience in education policy, economics, or a related field
• Experience analyzing primary and administrative fiscal data and applying education finance research methods
• Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze various educational data, including fiscal data
• Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and proficiency in statistical applications like Stata or R
• Experience in preparing research proposals for external funding in education finance-related research
