Educational Research Center Director

Job Summary

Providing strategic leadership for a multi-state educational research center, the full-time Regional Educational Laboratory Southeast Director will oversee research activities, manage partnerships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to support evidence-informed decision-making across the Southeast region, all while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the research center, ensuring alignment with regional priorities
• Oversee the design, implementation, and quality assurance of all center-led research activities, including applied research and technical support
• Supervise senior staff and manage operations, ensuring timely delivery of contract deliverables and compliance with relevant standards

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (EdD or equivalent; PhD preferred) in education, public policy, or a related field
• Minimum 12 years of progressively responsible experience in education research or related fields
• Demonstrated experience leading large, federally funded education projects
• Expertise in translating research into actionable guidance for education practitioners and policymakers
• Strong understanding of education research methods and continuous improvement approaches
