EHR Integration Support Specialist

Job Summary

To support rural healthcare organizations, the full-time temporary Provider EHR Integration and Interoperability Support Specialist will manage EHR onboarding, ensure compliance with healthcare interoperability standards, and validate clinical data while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead rural provider onboarding to HealthConnex, guiding organizations through connection requirements and technical assessments
• Provide expert guidance on interoperability standards and evaluate provider submissions for adherence to compliance expectations
• Deliver tailored technical assistance and training to help rural providers effectively utilize HealthConnex tools

Required qualifications

• 5 years of experience with EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Allscripts
• 5 years of proficiency with healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7 v2 and FHIR
• 5 years of experience in validating structured clinical data and troubleshooting EHR integration issues
• 3 years of ability to interpret clinical workflows and map them to data exchange requirements
• Knowledge of HIPAA and health information privacy/security requirements
