Electrical CAD/BIM Specialist
Job Summary
To support a growing Power Delivery Practice, the remote Electrical CAD/BIM Specialist III will perform technical tasks on high and medium voltage projects, including substation retrofits and new builds, while creating and maintaining electrical design sets and 3D models using Revit and AutoCAD.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain complete electrical design sets by interpreting engineering red lines and incorporating them into CAD drawings and 3D models
- Develop and manage 3D models for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with drafting/BIM standards and applicable codes
- Provide training and technical support to design staff, while assisting in quality control through peer reviews and model health checks
Required qualifications
- BA/BS in Engineering or related field with 4 years of related experience or equivalent education/experience
- Experience in high voltage electrical CAD/BIM design
- Familiarity with electrical Revit design principles
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code and relevant industry standards
- Experience in collaborative model environments and managing Common Data Environments
