Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and delivering complex electrical panel systems, the remote Electrical Controls Engineer will manage the entire process from concept to completion, including developing engineering drawings and providing technical support during fabrication.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical panels including junction boxes, PLCs, and motor starter panels based on customer specifications
• Generate logic diagrams and interpret P&IDs to translate process requirements into panel designs
• Provide technical support during the build process and conduct factory acceptance testing

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical systems design experience in industrial applications
• Hands-on experience designing control panels using relay logic or PLC/DCS-based control
• Familiarity with plant process control and monitoring preferred
• UL-508A or NEC certification is a plus
