Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer - High Voltage Protection & Controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Create complex electrical engineering plans and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects
• Provide design drawings and optimize electrical protection scheme templates and tools
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and perform design tasks under the direction of senior staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an ABET-accredited institution
• Intermediate experience utilizing AutoCAD and knowledge of electrical engineering concepts for high-voltage substation equipment
• Prior experience in power delivery, transmission, or distribution is desirable
• Intermediate experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or VBA is a plus
• A passion for optimization and innovation in engineering processes
