Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of ruggedized, modular data centers, the remote Electrical Design Engineer will manage electrical designs, conduct protective device studies, and review vendor submittals while collaborating with manufacturing partners and deployment teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical designs for modular containerized data centers, including single-line diagrams and load calculations
• Run protective device coordination, arc flash, and short-circuit studies, producing necessary documentation for field use
• Review vendor submittals for various electrical systems and ensure compliance with specifications while supporting manufacturing partners

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
• 3-7 years of post-degree experience in electrical design, particularly in data centers or mission-critical facilities
• Working knowledge of the NEC and ideally one or more IEC-based national codes
• Hands-on experience with protection coordination and arc flash software, such as SKM or ETAP
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and/or Revit MEP for design documentation
