Electrical Design Engineer I

Job Summary

Supporting the delivery of electrical engineering design services for renewable energy and substation projects, the full-time Electrical Design Engineer I will create electrical plans and calculations, perform design tasks under supervision, and ensure compliance with safety standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Create electrical engineering plans, details, and calculations for renewable energy projects
• Perform design tasks on small projects or portions of larger projects, including producing design drawings
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and work under the direction of more senior staff

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field with extensive electrical coursework
• Some prior experience in designing and drafting using AutoCAD
• Familiarity with the NEC and understanding of relevant codes and standards
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems
• Detail-oriented with efficient time management skills
