Electrical Design Engineer III

Job Summary

Leading high-impact electrical design work for utility-scale PV Solar and Battery Storage projects, the full-time Electrical Design Engineer III will create engineering plans and design drawings while collaborating with a mission-driven team in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create electrical engineering plans, details, and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects
• Independently provide design drawings and equipment specifications for PV solar modules, inverters, and battery energy storage systems
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and mentor staff engineers while managing multiple projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field with extensive electrical coursework
• 5+ years of experience in an electrical engineering design role
• 2+ years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy system design engineering
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD
• Familiarity with the NEC and relevant codes and standards
