Electrical Designer
Job Summary
Leading a team of drafters, the remote Electrical Designer will utilize over 7 years of experience in power plant and industrial electrical design to create comprehensive electrical construction drawings and perform design reviews, ensuring adherence to NEC codes and industry standards.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and direct a team of 3-4 drafters in developing project design tasks and construction drawings
- Create complete electrical construction drawing sets and physical layouts using 2D/3D CAD software, including AVEVA 3D
- Perform design reviews and quality checks on junior designers' work to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards
Required qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical design
- High School diploma or equivalent education
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and electrical system design
- Experience in coordinating across engineering disciplines and providing technical field support
