Job Summary

To support electric utility projects, the full-time salaried Electrical Designer 4 - CA Licensed will develop detailed design drawings and construction packages for overhead and underground distribution systems while ensuring compliance with utility standards and collaborating with project teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical distribution design drawings and prepare construction packages
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure design accuracy and compliance with standards
• Mentor junior designers and perform quality assurance on design packages

Required qualifications

• 10-18 years of relevant experience in electric utility distribution design
• Strong proficiency in CAD platforms such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Solid understanding of overhead and underground distribution systems and utility construction standards
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and field notes
• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
