Job Summary
To support the design and development of high-voltage substation Protection & Control systems, the full-time Electrical Designer II - Texas will prepare and revise design drawings, assist engineers with deliverables, and ensure compliance with industry standards, with the option for remote work.
Key responsibilities
- Support the design and development of high-voltage substation Protection & Control systems
- Prepare and revise P&C design drawings, including single-line and three-line diagrams
- Assist in the development and organization of relay and control panel documentation
Required qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Design, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in substation design, particularly in Protection & Control systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design software
- Familiarity with substation components including relays, batteries, chargers, and control panels
- Knowledge of applicable industry standards including IEEE, NEC, and NESC
