Job Summary
To support critical power infrastructure projects, the remote Electrical Engineer with EIT License will perform power system studies, analyze electrical models, and provide design recommendations for high-voltage transmission lines and substations in a full-time capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Perform power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and transient stability analyses
- Support transmission line and substation design through study-driven recommendations for equipment ratings and system configuration
- Develop and review electrical system models using software tools such as ETAP, ASPEN OneLiner, and CYME
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems concentration preferred)
- 2-5 years of experience performing electrical studies for transmission and/or substation projects
- Proficiency with power system analysis software platforms (ETAP, ASPEN, CYME, PSS E, PSCAD, etc.)
- Strong understanding of transmission and substation design principles and protection coordination
- EIT certification required; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
