Job Summary
Supporting federal government construction projects remotely, the full-time Electrical Estimator will develop detailed cost estimates for new construction, renovations, and modernization, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed conceptual, design, and construction cost estimates for federal building projects
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop accurate quantity takeoffs
- Analyze contractor bids, change orders, and cost proposals for reasonableness
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 7 years of professional electrical estimating experience supporting commercial, institutional, or federal construction projects
- Experience preparing detailed electrical estimates for vertical building construction projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and telecommunications
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
