Electrical Estimator

Job Summary

Supporting federal government construction projects remotely, the full-time Electrical Estimator will develop detailed cost estimates for new construction, renovations, and modernization, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed conceptual, design, and construction cost estimates for federal building projects
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop accurate quantity takeoffs
• Analyze contractor bids, change orders, and cost proposals for reasonableness

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 7 years of professional electrical estimating experience supporting commercial, institutional, or federal construction projects
• Experience preparing detailed electrical estimates for vertical building construction projects
• Strong understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and telecommunications
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
