Electrical Estimator

Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic Electrical Estimator for a hybrid contract-to-hire position in New York, NY, where the successful candidate will prepare cost estimates for multidiscipline construction projects, focusing on substations and steam generation facilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare conceptual, authorization, and appropriation cost estimates for multidiscipline construction projects
• Develop estimates based on preliminary work scopes, drawings, and sketches while utilizing historical data
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and user organizations to ensure comprehensive project estimates

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience, or a Technical High School Diploma with 15 years of experience
• Experience in power utility or heavy industrial cost estimating in at least one discipline
• Knowledge of transmission, distribution, or generation engineering design and/or construction
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, CEES, or similar software
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities
