Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and innovative Electrical Estimator for a hybrid contract-to-hire role in New York, NY, this position involves preparing cost estimates for multidiscipline construction projects, particularly in substations and steam generation facilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare conceptual, authorization, and appropriation cost estimates for multidiscipline construction projects
• Develop estimates based on preliminary work scopes, drawings, and historical data
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and user organizations to ensure comprehensive project estimates

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 7 years, or a Technical High School Diploma with 15 years of applicable experience
• Experience in power utility or heavy industrial cost estimating, particularly in substations and steam generation facilities
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Microsoft Project and CEES
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments
• Commitment to environmental excellence and workplace safety
