Job Summary
To support cardiology administrative and clinical utilization management, the full-time Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner will act as a clinical liaison, manage medical necessity discussions, and coordinate with staff to ensure effective communication of clinical decisions in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical liaison to providers, clients, and patients, facilitating medical necessity conversations
- Manage the Guideline Directed Medical Therapy process and communicate recommendations to providers
- Coordinate with utilization management staff to ensure timely communication of clinical decisions and complete UM projects
Required qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, or a master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited program
- Minimum of five years of experience in electrophysiology cardiology or primary care, with at least two years in a regulatory role preferred
- Current, unrestricted state PA or RN/NP license in the required specialty
- Strong clinical, management, and organizational skills with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Ability to pass a skills proficiency test and undergo background verification processes
