Eligibility Operations Advisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Eligibility Operations Advisor I, responsible for processing applications and coordinating information related to health insurance eligibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide enrollment assistance and information on the HIPP/Premium Assistance program to Medicaid eligible recipients
• Verify and document health care coverage for Medicaid recipients and their families
• Complete data entry and maintenance of active cases during open enrollment and premium review

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance industry, healthcare, or government-sponsored programs
• Experience with high-volume phone inquiries and customer service
• Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security rules
• Ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Bilingual skills and knowledge of healthcare terminology are preferred
