Eligibility Specialist

Job Summary

Providing high-quality customer service, the fixed-term Eligibility Specialist will verify benefits and eligibility for patients, handle inquiries from various stakeholders, and conduct research to determine coverage options, all while working in a call center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review incoming referrals for completeness and confirm FDA requirements are met
• Assist with reimbursement inquiries, including insurance benefit verification and prior authorizations
• Maintain accurate documentation of all inquiries to improve customer service processes

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in a customer service setting, preferably in a call center
• Computer proficiency in MS Office applications; database experience preferred
• Knowledge of health insurance claims, billing, coding, and medical terminology preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
