Elite Figure Skating Mentor

Job Summary

To support serious student-athletes, the full-time remote Elite Figure Skating Mentor will provide academic guidance and sports mentorship through video sessions, ensuring students stay focused while leveraging elite figure skating experience to enhance their training and competition mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Guide students through their academic day by keeping them focused and on task during video sessions
• Mentor students as athletes by sharing insights on training habits, competition, and balancing academics with sports
• Communicate with parents and staff to provide updates on student progress in both academics and athletics

Required qualifications

• Senior-level figure skating background with competitive experience in U.S. Figure Skating or internationally through ISU
• Experience working with young people in roles focused on their growth and development, such as coaching or tutoring
• Ability to earn trust and provide direct feedback to young athletes while maintaining standards
• Strong communication skills for effective one-on-one video sessions and updates to parents and staff
• Reliable and organized, with a suitable remote setup for conducting video sessions
