Elixir Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting a growing client in the software development industry, the fully remote Elixir Engineer will build and enhance backend services using Elixir and the Phoenix framework, focusing on scalable applications and system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance backend services to support core product functionality using Elixir and the Phoenix framework
• Design reliable and scalable system components with an emphasis on concurrency and fault tolerance
• Implement and maintain APIs and microservices that integrate with internal and external systems

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Elixir or other functional programming languages
• Working knowledge of SQL, with experience using PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Familiarity with event streaming platforms such as Kafka is a plus
• Experience with AWS cloud services and version control systems such as GitHub
• Exposure to Python is preferred, along with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
