Email Developer

Job Summary

To support an established ecommerce client's migration to Maropost, the contract Email Developer will build and deploy approximately 100 transactional and lifecycle marketing emails, focusing on Liquid-based templates and complex user segments, while working remotely on a full-time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy ~100 transactional and lifecycle emails in Maropost, including various automated flows and promotional campaigns
• Develop a reusable, modular component library and a global header/footer system aligned with the client's new design system
• Audit existing Mandrill email inventory and migrate flows to Maropost, ensuring functionality with Shopify triggers and localization

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on email development experience with production builds inside an ESP
• Direct experience with Maropost preferred; familiarity with Klaviyo, Iterable, Braze, or similar platforms acceptable
• Prior experience executing an ESP migration, ideally from Mandrill
• Strong command of Liquid templating and expert-level HTML/CSS for email
• Experience integrating an ESP with Shopify or a comparable ecommerce platform
