Job Summary
Supporting firmware development and hardware implementation for access control products, the full-time Embedded Hardware Systems Engineer will work remotely from the San Diego or Los Angeles area, focusing on developing, debugging, and sustaining embedded firmware modules while collaborating with cross-functional teams on hardware validation and system-level testing.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and sustain embedded firmware modules for existing product lines and new features
- Support hardware bring-up, PCB validation, and debugging for new hardware revisions
- Conduct hardware validation and system-level testing using lab instrumentation and assist in test fixture development
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in embedded hardware engineering
- Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++ development with hands-on experience in firmware development and debugging
- Experience supporting hardware integration activities, including PCB bring-up and hardware validation
- Working knowledge of schematics and PCB design principles
