Embedded Linux Consultant Engineer

Job Summary

To provide consulting services in Embedded Linux, the full-time Embedded Linux Consultant Engineer will work remotely, focusing on software development, integration, debugging, and testing for various products while contributing to open-source projects and collaborating with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to open-source projects and analyze client problems to design effective solutions
• Collaborate with the delivery team to define and scope client projects
• Serve as a technical advisor, discussing Linux core system technologies and representing the company at conferences

Required qualifications

• Broad experience with Linux, including uBoot, Linux kernel, and Embedded Linux Distros (e.g., Yocto, Debian)
• Knowledge of open-source development methodologies and ARM processor-based embedded systems
• Experience with system image creation tooling and OTA technologies
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in Linux environments
• Experience with modern CI tooling such as GitHub and GitLab
