Embedded Software Engineer
Job Summary
Creative software developers will find a full-time remote opportunity as a Principal Embedded Software Engineer, responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software, including Board Support Packages and device drivers for Digital Signal Processing computer boards.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test new embedded software solutions
- Analyze requirements and develop design alternatives while assisting in process improvements
- Generate complete user and design documentation and coordinate software releases
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years' experience
- Strong C programming skills and experience with Linux and/or VxWorks device driver development
- Proficiency in hardware design verification test development and firmware/BIOS development
- Knowledge of embedded software engineering processes and standards
- Active secret clearance or the ability to obtain one is desirable
