Job Summary
To support the Device OS Team for aviation hardware products, the full-time Embedded Software Engineer will focus on low-level driver development, system bring-up, and OS customizations in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded Linux-based systems, including low-level kernel and bootloader functionalities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the performance and reliability of mission-critical drones
- Debug physical devices and deploy stable operating system builds directly to hardware
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in embedded software development on consumer devices
- Practical experience with embedded Linux systems such as Yocto and BuildRoot
- Solid programming skills in C and C++, with knowledge of Linux kernel internals
- Experience with Linux kernel drivers for SPI/I2C/UART and familiarity with bootloader development
