Job Summary
Leading a high-performing embedded software team, the full-time salaried Embedded Software Team Lead will set technical direction, manage priorities, and provide hands-on guidance in developing firmware for safety-critical vehicle systems in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and grow the embedded software team, overseeing hiring, onboarding, and career development
- Define and evolve embedded software architecture while establishing effective remote operating rhythms and delivery milestones
- Guide the design, integration, and validation of production firmware, ensuring reliability and safety compliance
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience developing embedded software for production systems, particularly in safety-critical environments
- Expert-level proficiency in C and/or C++ for production embedded systems
- Experience with RTOS or embedded Linux, including device drivers and board bring-up
- Strong understanding of embedded communications protocols such as SPI, UART, I2C, and CAN
- Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262 or EN 50716
