Embedded Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Hands-on and detail-oriented, the hybrid Sr. Embedded Systems Engineer will take ownership of firmware and embedded systems work across connected devices, guiding products from concept through production while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Own firmware design and maintenance for connected devices, including bootloaders and telemetry interfaces
• Guide product development from concept to production, coordinating engineering efforts across disciplines
• Ensure compliance with European cybersecurity and radio regulations, leading certification efforts with regulatory bodies

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing embedded firmware and hardware products
• Strong understanding of secure firmware practices and cryptographic integration
• Familiarity with European cybersecurity/radio compliance (RED, NIS2) or similar regulatory frameworks
• Experience reviewing hardware and mechanical designs with a focus on system-level trade-offs
• Ability to communicate effectively with distributed and international teams
