EMC GDDR Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a senior-level EMC GDDR Engineer for a remote contract position, the candidate will provide specialized production support for a highly available mainframe storage environment, focusing on troubleshooting GDDR/MFE automation, SRDF replication, and recovery issues.
Key responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot GDDR or MFE automation failures and SRDF replication drops
- Participate in live technical bridges during major incidents, providing recovery recommendations
- Manage 24x7 on-call support for critical Sev 1 and Sev 2 incidents
Required qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with Dell EMC Mainframe Enablers (MFE) and GDDR
- Proficiency in GDDR configuration, scripts, and automation
- Experience with SRDF/S and SRDF/A replication processes
- Familiarity with Symmetrix command-line tools and mainframe storage operations
- Preferred experience supporting MFE/GDDR environments involving VMAX 950F and/or PowerMax 8500
