Emergency Department Medical Coder
Job Summary
A healthcare company is looking for an Emergency Department Medical Coder.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes for outpatient Emergency Department services
- Analyze and correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity Edits using coding knowledge
- Adhere to official coding guidelines and maintain required levels of performance in both coding quality and productivity
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC
- 2+ years of Outpatient Facility coding experience
- Experience with ICD-10
- Ability to work 40 hours/week
