Job Summary

A healthcare company is looking for an Emergency Department Medical Coder.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes for outpatient Emergency Department services
• Analyze and correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity Edits using coding knowledge
• Adhere to official coding guidelines and maintain required levels of performance in both coding quality and productivity

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC
• 2+ years of Outpatient Facility coding experience
• Experience with ICD-10
• Ability to work 40 hours/week
