Job Summary

To support student learning in the field of Emergency Management, part-time faculty will provide remote instruction for undergraduate and graduate courses, engage with students through various communication methods, and serve as subject matter experts while maintaining course rigor and relevance.

Key responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses while facilitating student engagement and course completion
  • Conduct weekly outreach to students and provide timely, substantive feedback on assignments through the Blackboard Learning Management System
  • Host live lectures and participate in faculty development opportunities as assigned by the Academic Program Director
Required qualifications
  • Possess a terminal degree or master's degree in the teaching discipline or closely related field from an accredited institution
  • Have a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline for relevant courses
  • Demonstrate experience teaching at the college/university level (preferred)
  • Provide own equipment, including a computer and reliable internet access
  • Knowledge of academic processes and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
