Job Summary

A company is looking for an Emergency Management Planner to assist in project tasks related to Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the local planning team to identify threats or hazards and describe their impacts
  • Provide context for hazards and threats, including context descriptions and specific impact estimates
  • Attend planning meetings and support the development of pre- and post-meeting materials
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • 5+ years of emergency management experience, preferably at a local or state government agency
  • Experience in an Emergency Operations Center during an activation
  • At least one year of experience as an emergency management planner supporting plan writing
  • Experience with THIRA development
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in emergency management, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred
