Job Summary
Focusing on exceptional learning experiences, the full-time Global Campus Professor in the Department of Justice, Security, and Public Safety Professions will teach asynchronous undergraduate and graduate courses, develop programs and courses, and mentor associate faculty in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging online instruction while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for adult learners
- Develop and improve courses and teaching practices in collaboration with instructional designers and other experts
- Participate in department and university meetings, engaging in shared governance activities and supporting accreditation efforts
Required qualifications
- Earned master's degree in Emergency Management, Security Management, or a related field with 3 years of professional experience in relevant areas
- Earned industry-based credentials such as FEMA or IAEM certifications in emergency management or continuity
- Experience demonstrating adequate training and depth of knowledge in a particular specialty for high-quality teaching
- Familiarity with best practices in teaching and learning, particularly in virtual environments
- A collaborative and student-centered approach to leadership and instructional support
