Job Summary
A company is looking for an Emergency Medicine Coder in a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient medical records and assign appropriate CPT-4 codes and physician identification numbers
- Identify and report errors or issues to Coding management for resolution
- Complete daily productivity reports and attend departmental and training meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnostic coding and CPT-4 procedural coding
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology
- Typing speed of 35-45 WPM
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPC, CCS-p, or RHIT certification or eligibility within two years
